Young Investigator Award in Neuroeconomics

The Society for Neuroeconomics invites applications for its Young Investigator Award. The award includes a $1000 monetary prize and an engraved plaque, which will be presented at the Banquet at the Annual Meeting of the Society (September 25, 2009 in Evanston, Illinois). Individuals who are no more than 5 years past the date of their terminal degree (Ph.D., M.D., etc.) as of 2009 are eligible to apply. The successful applicant will demonstrate significant contributions to understanding the neural basis of decision making or the impact of this knowledge on formal understanding of decision behavior. Applications will be reviewed by an ad-hoc committee appointed by the President of the Society.

Applicants should submit a one-page description of their work and its relevance to neuroeconomics, a current CV, and two signed, sealed letters of recommendation by August 1, 2009 by mail or email (instructions follow)

•    Email:  Applicant should email description of work and CV to Maggie@neuroeconomics.org with the subject line “Young Investigator Application 2009 – ApplicantFirstName ApplicantLastName.”  Recommenders should email letters AS ATTACHMENTS to the same email address with the same subject line.  Recommenders should certify in the body of the email that the letter has been kept confidential and has not been read by the applicant.
